What is Model United Nations?
Model United Nations (MUN) is an academic simulation of the United Nations, where students take on the roles of diplomats and representatives from different countries to debate and find solutions to global issues. Participants research the country they represent, and engage in formal debates and negotiations to address topics such as international security, human rights, sustainable development, and more. The goal of MUN is to foster a greater understanding of the United Nations, diplomacy, and international relations, as well as to develop critical thinking, public speaking, and negotiation skills. MUN conferences encourage students to learn while working collaboratively, thinking critically, and engaging in constructive dialogue to address the world's most pressing challenges.
